Bob the Jacket
Bob the Jacket was born during the 1996 National AMBUCS convention held in San Antonio Texas. Bob Richard, a member of the Danville Illinois Chapter, had been the "Sparkplug" (the person who creates a new Ambucs club) for the DHS Advocates Club.
Bob was to be awarded a prestigious green 'masters' type sport coat at a special presentation at the convention. Feeling bad that Bob was unable to attend the convention, his fellow members decided that Bob could experience the convention 'through the lapel' of his new jacket.
The group took the jacket with them everywhere, to convention meetings, to local tourist attractions, to bars (many of these), and had pictures taken with a variety of "pseudo-bob's".
Since that time, Bob the Jacket has attended many AMBUC events. The following are some great pictures from some of those great times...
